Synopsis
The S&P 500 is regarded as the bellwether of the situation of U.S. economy and the benchmark indicator of the single-day performance of U.S. stocks, and is a barometer of the U.S. economy. The index consists of the shares of 500 of the most influential leading U.S. public companies in more than 100 industries, representing approximately 80% of the total market capitalization. To be included in the index, a company needs to meet the following criteria: U.S. companies - with a market capitalization of at least $6.1 billion; public companies - its shares are actively traded. Many traders and investors use the SP500 as a benchmark to measure their performance. Futures refers to the country's exchange rate, interest rate, fiscal policy, economic data, stock market boom, and capital pools are all important factors that affect the market.
