JD.com (NASDAQ: JD, HKEX: 9618) is a major B2C shopping website in mainland China, formerly known as 360buy and JD.com, founded by Richard Liu Qiangdong. In 2014, JD.com was listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in the U.S. JD Mall was founded by current CEO Richard Liu Qiangdong in 2004. The name of the brand comes from 1998, when Richard and his first girlfriend Gong Xiaojing each took the word "Jing" and "Dong", and together they are "Jingdong". In the early days, it was called "online magneto-optical store", and it sold computer products at the earliest, and then various products appeared. On January 4, 2017, China UnionPay announced that the payment company of JD Finance has officially become a member institution of UnionPay.
