Uniswap Labs Implements an Interface Fee of 0.15% on Selected Token Transactions
In order to finance its operations, Uniswap Labs will impose a 0.15% fee on select transactions executed through its frontend; the protocol fee for Uniswap remains unchanged.

Uniswap Labs, the principal organisation responsible for the creation of the decentralised cryptocurrency exchange Uniswap, will commence charging a 0.15% transaction fee on Tuesday for all transactions involving ETH, USDC, and other tokens, according to CoinDesk. Fees will only be assessed for swaps executed via the interface of Uniswap Labs.
Uniswap Labs is introducing this new fee, which is distinct from the 'protocol fee' currently in place and is governed by governance voters. The purpose of this introduction is to "sustainably fund our operations," as explained in a blog post. Hayden Adams, the inventor of Uniswap, tweeted that the "one-of-the-lowest interface fees in the industry will enable us to continue researching, developing, constructing, shipping, enhancing, and expanding crypto and DeFi."
An FAQ states that the 'interface fee' will impact transactions involving ETH, USDC, WETH, USDT, DAI, WBTC, agEUR, GUSD, LUSD, EUROC, or XSGD as one of the tokens. Exchanges and transactions involving bundled ether and stablecoins will not incur the fee.
