Bloomberg reports that U.S.-based cryptocurrency firms offer substantially greater compensation packages than their international competitors. On average, US crypto salaries surpass their foreign counterparts by 13%, and incentive packages for equity and tokens are 30% greater, according to a report. Compensatory tokens associated with cryptocurrency initiatives can function in a manner similar to share options. Nevertheless, cryptocurrency firms in the United States are comparatively less inclined to issue such tokens than digital-asset enterprises in other regions. 11% of crypto firms in the United States had issued a token, compared to 38% of international firms, according to the report. Probably due to the regulatory environment in the United States.

The Dragonfly report revealed the remuneration for various positions within cryptocurrency companies. When a company secures Series C funding, its originator is eligible to receive $300,000. An executive-level engineer may earn a maximum annual salary of $283,000, exclusive of equity and token grants. The results were gathered through a survey of 49 Dragonfly-backed enterprises in 2023. The results, according to the authors, "indicate trends rather than definitive sector-wide practices."

Additionally, the majority of companies, both domestic and international, pay employees in fiat currencies, according to the survey. However, international companies are marginally more likely to pay employees in cryptocurrencies. Reductions were made to the digital asset sector in the wake of a severe market decline.
