It was propelled upwards by a 102 percent increase in trading volume year-over-year, as a platform record 401 million securitized derivatives were exchanged between July and September. 198 million securitized derivatives were traded over the same time of the prior year.
Nicky Maan, CEO of Spectrum Markets, stated, "I'm extremely pleased to report another outstanding quarter in which the volume of securitized derivatives traded on Spectrum set a new record high."
We look forward to make some big business announcements before the end of the year, as we continue to advance our ambitious expansion goals.
Spectrum Markets offers derivative products such as knockouts and turbo instruments. Popular because traders can utilize leverage while trading. Earlier this year, the platform added cryptocurrency turbo certificates to its roster of offerings.
Demand for Spectrum's products has been on the rise for some time. In the first and second quarters of the current year, the platform's trade volume increased by 180 and 250 percent, respectively. The platform recorded a total revenue of €1.35 billion for 2021, an increase of 93 percent.
The trading site also reported that after-hours activity had increased significantly. Now, more than a third of trading activity on the platform occurs outside of typical business hours.
"It's nice to see that European retail investors continue to value the ability to trade securitized derivatives transparently and at any time of day, and that the engagement growth we've witnessed over the past several years shows no sign of slowing down," Maan added.
