Offchain Labs Introduces the BOLD Arbitrum Testnet
Arbitrum BOLD, a next-generation off-chain dispute resolution protocol designed to improve decentralization and permissionless verification, has been made available for testing on the Arbitrum Sepolia. Offchain Labs intends to shortly propose activation of Arbitrum BOLD on the platform.

Offchain Labs, the developer of Arbitrum, reportedly declared the official inauguration of Arbitrum BOLD testnet, its next-generation off-chain dispute resolution protocol, on April 16, as reported by BlockBeats. Arbitrum has reached a higher degree of decentralization and complete permissionless verification through the implementation of the BOLD protocol. Providing interactive fraud substantiation for optimistic rollup networks is its objective.
By permitting any participant to validate or contest transactions withdrawn from Arbitrum to the Ethereum mainnet, the BOLD protocol ensures the accuracy of Arbitrum's status on Ethereum. Validators can now observe the operation of this cutting-edge protocol by submitting assertions to the Sepolia testnet; it has been deployed on the public testnet.
Offchain Labs is anticipated to initiate a proposal to activate BOLD on Arbitrum Sepolia and facilitate voting via Tally in the near future.
