Joe Rogan and Post Malone blast the US government's CBDC with "No fucking way"
In a recent statement, Joe Rogan and Post Malone expressed their strong disapproval of the United States government's central bank digital currency (CBDC) initiative

Central bank digital currencies have become a popular topic of conversation in the United States, eliciting commentary from comedians, musicians, and presidential candidates.
Joe Rogan, podcaster and commentator, has criticized the concept of a digital dollar issued by the United States central bank, characterizing it as "game over" for American citizens.
In the August 8 episode of the popular podcast Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan and rapper Post Malone discussed the U.S. financial system, halting to discuss the potential for CBDCs to abuse their power in the United States.
Typically, Joe Rogan's podcast attracts more than 11 million listeners per episode. Post Malone has amassed a total of 31 million followers across X and Instagram. It occurs at a time when CBDCs have begun to be discussed in U.S. presidential campaigns.
When asked what he thought about a CBDC, Rogan was forthright:
Rogan described a scenario in which a tyrannical government ties the flow of a CBDC to an individual's social credit score, stating that citizens could be easily cut off from their finances for violating the rules.
"If they decide in some way that you need a social credit score system and it's for the benefit of society, and they outline that, they can track your behavior, tweets, and everything else [...]." He stated, "They just decided you messed up, and the rules are the rules."
Malone also expressed concern about the U.S. banking system, noting that FDIC insurance only covers bank account balances up to $250,000.
The two also discussed the Canadian government's controversial decision to suspend the bank accounts of "Freedom Convoy" transporters in February of last year.
Malone argued that the U.S. government has too much control over the financial flow of average citizens and could potentially shut off funding to anyone at any time.
It reflects the views of ardent proponents of decentralized cryptocurrencies.
In the meantime, CBDCs have become a political debating point in the United States. Governor of Florida and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis vowed in July to ban CBDCs in the United States if elected president.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., on the other hand, criticized CBDCs for being instruments of "control" and instead pledged to support the U.S. currency with hard assets, including Bitcoin, if he were elected president.
