As per Blockworks, Sandeep Nailwal, a co-founder of Polygon, has assumed an additional responsibility as the organization's chief business officer. Polygon, originally referred to as the MATIC network, was established in 2017 by Nailwal. His current position as executive chairman of Polygon Labs will not change. A greater emphasis will be placed on Polygon's zero-knowledge solutions, including Polygon CDK, an open-source software toolkit that enables developers to construct layer-2s on Ethereum. This will be among his new responsibilities.

Two crypto-focused companies have made announcements regarding the appointment of new leadership, in addition to Nailwal's recent fundraising endeavors. Julia Merkey has been appointed chief operating officer of the tokenized asset platform Centrifuge, while Sonam Joshi has been appointed director of product. Merkey previously held the position of chief financial officer at BlueYard Capital, a venture capital firm, whereas Joshi has worked for UBS, Google, Amazon, and Abra. The liquidity pools of Centrifuge, an organization that facilitates pools of tokenized real-world assets, contain assets valued at approximately $280 million.

Additionally, Movement Labs has appointed Franck Cassez as its new director of research. Former Consensys researcher and Windranger Labs blockchain research chief Cassez will provide assistance to the startup in porting Facebook's Move Virtual Machine to Ethereum. Additionally noteworthy is the appointment of Chris Knight to the position of managing director by LMAX Group, which he will commence this summer. Knight, a former Standard Chartered Bank and XTX Markets executive, will initially supervise the institutional cryptocurrency exchange of LMAX. In conclusion, Ross O'Leary has been appointed associate manager of Coinbase's global communications team.
