Gold: Spot gold fell at US$1,903.60 per ounce.


Gold futures traded lower in Asia on Tuesday. The December gold futures of the Comex Division of the New York Mercantile Exchange had a trading price of 0.28% before the deadline, trading at USD1915.95 per troy ounce. Comex silver's December transaction price dropped 1.55% to USD24.765 per troy ounce; December copper transaction price rose 0.69% to USD3.0587 per pound.


Forex:The US dollar index rose to 93.741. EUR/USD fell 0.58% to 1.1768 US dollars. GBP/USD fell 0.82% to US$1.2809; AUD/USD fell 0.9% to US$0.7222; NZD/USD fell 1.4% to US$0.6664.


Crude oil: Oil prices plunged 4% overnight and subsequently fell. US WTI crude oil futures prices fell 10 cents, or 0.25%, to US$39.44 per barrel. London Brent crude oil futures prices fell 14 cents, or 0.34%, to $41.30 per barrel. Natural gas prices fell 0.32% to $1.872.


Stock market: US stock futures fell narrower. Dow futures fell 35 points to 27,020 points; standard index futures fell 4 points to 3,270 points; Nasdaq futures fell 8 points to 10980 points. European stock markets stabilized in the early period. The British FTSE index reported 5828 points, up 23 points, or 0.41%; the German DAX index reported 12639 points, up 96 points, or 0.77%; France’s CAC index reported 4800. Points, up 8 points, an increase of 0.17 percent.
