[Top1 Evening] Gold price rose to 1,955.30; US dollar index fell to 92.843; oil price is expected to hit a new height

US WTI crude oil futures prices rose 25 cents, or 0.61%, to $41.22/barrel, up 10.47% so far this week, the largest weekly increase in three and a half months.

Gold: Spot gold rose, quoted at US$1,955.30 per ounce.


New York Mercantile Exchange Comex December gold futures, the transaction price increased by 0.47% before the deadline, and the transaction was at USD1959.00 per troy ounce. Comex, the December transaction price of silver and gold rose by 0.66% to USD27.280 per troy ounce; the December copper transaction price rose by 0.49% to USD3.0953 per pound.


Forex: The dollar index fell to 92.843. The U.S. dollar was at 104.428 against the Japanese yen; the euro against the U.S. dollar was at 1.18620 U.S. dollars; the British pound against the U.S. dollar was at 1.29884 U.S. dollars; the Australian dollar was at 0.73056 U.S. dollars against the U.S. dollar; the U.S. dollar against Canadian dollars was at 1.31584.


Crude oil: Oil prices continued their overnight gains and are expected to record their biggest weekly gains in more than three months. US WTI crude oil futures prices rose 25 cents, or 0.61%, to $41.22/barrel, up 10.47% so far this week, the largest weekly increase in three and a half months. The price of Brent crude oil futures rose 29 cents, or 0.67%, to $43.59 per barrel, up 9.54% so far this week, the largest weekly increase in four months. Natural gas prices fell 0.6% to US$1.981.


Stock market: The three major European stock markets opened low across the board. The London Stock Market FTSE 100 Index fell 0.3% to 6030.09 points at the opening; the CAC 40 Index in Paris fell 0.2% to 5031.98 points at the opening; the DAX 30 in Frankfurt, Germany fell slightly to 13203.87 points.
Japan's Nikkei 225 index closed at 23,360 points, up 40 points or 0.18%. This week it fell 46 points or 0.19%.

South Korea's Seoul Composite Index also rose 6 points, or 0.26%, to close at 2,412 points. This week it gained 15 points or 0.65%.


The Australian stock market fell 18 points, or 0.32%, to close at 5,864 points. This week it gained 5 points or 0.08%.
