ZkEVM Polygon Following Intervention by the Emergency Committee, Mainnet Beta Resumes Operations
After restorations and an L1 settlement restoration, the zkEVM mainnet beta for Polygon has resumed on the X platform; however, forthcoming system updates are now obligated to adhere to a 10-day time constraint.

PANews reports that Polygon has declared the resumption of operations for the zkEVM mainnet beta on the X platform. An emergency state was declared by the emergency committee for the Polygon zkEVM mainnet Beta, enabling the Polygon zkEVM core team to execute essential system repairs and reinstate the L1 settlement of the Polygon zkEVM mainnet Beta. After the completion of this upgrade, the emergency state was lifted; consequently, subsequent system updates will be subject to a 10-day time constraint before they can be implemented. A comprehensive follow-up report will be published by the official committee on the Polygon Foundation forum.
It is crucial to specify that the Polygon zkEVM mainnet Beta was the sole target of this incident; Polygon PoS, Polygon CDK, and any chains implemented utilizing the Polygon CDK remained unaffected. The malfunction observed in the beta version of the Polygon zkEVM mainnet was attributable to an L1 reorganization that gave rise to a sequencer issue.
