Sui Blockchain's Bridged USDC Exceeds $100 Million
Sui, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by the Diem team at Meta, amasses $175 million in TVL and $100 million in bridged USDC in addition to issuing grants to ecosystem projects and forming partnerships with security firms.

Sui, a Layer 1 blockchain developed by the same technology specialists responsible for Meta's Diem blockchain initiative and the Move smart contract language, has reportedly surpassed $100 million in bridged USDC, as reported by Coincu. This accomplishment, which is further solidifies Sui's position among the leading decentralised finance (DeFi) protocols globally, comes just seven months after the network's inception. Additionally, the network has recently achieved a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $175 million and rates among the top 25 blockchains in terms of daily transaction volume and the top 15 in terms of weekly volume.
Greg Siourounis, Managing Director of the Sui Foundation, remarked on the achievement, stating that it exemplifies the success of the Sui community's endeavours to construct a flexible and user-friendly ecosystem and signifies a momentous occasion for Sui in DeFi. The expansion of the network can be attributed to its decentralised ecosystem and independent developers; eleven projects have raised more than $2 million in TVL, and seven have amassed over $10 million.
Sui announced an ecosystem investment with industry-leading Web3 security companies OtterSec and Zellic last week, in addition to its recent accomplishments. The objective of this collaboration is to enhance the security and dependability of the Sui ecosystem through the provision of premium auditing services to independent ecosystem initiatives. Additionally, in November, Sui Grants totaling $500,000 were awarded to network-building initiatives, providing support to teams that are well-positioned to promote the widespread adoption of Sui and its expanding DeFi ecosystem.
