Synopsis
NVIDIA is an artificial intelligence computing company founded in 1993. NVIDIA defined the GPU and greatly advanced the PC gaming market, redefines modern computer graphics technology, and revolutionized parallel computing. Jensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky, and Curtis Priem founded NVIDIA in April 1993 in California (which later became a Delaware company). NVIDIA kept a low profile until 1997-1998, when it released the RIVA line of PC graphics processors. It was listed on Nasdaq in January 1999. In 2014, the company shifted its focus to four core markets: gaming, visualization, data and automotive. In June 2017, it was selected into the "2017 World's 50 Smartest Companies" list by MIT Technology Review.
