The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is an American multinational investment banking and financial services company headquartered in Manhattan, New York City. Goldman Sachs suffered losses during the 2007-2008 global financial crisis due to its involvement in asset securitization during the subprime mortgage crisis.
